What to Expect From Your Elopement
Countdown to the Big Day
An Elopement wedding should be super simple and easy to plan. Our dedicated team is there to help you craft the Elopement wedding of your dreams, providing the support and guidance you need to make your special day everything you have envisaged. From the initial planning stages to the final moments of your celebration, the Pauntley Court Team is here to provide the support and guidance you need to make every aspect of your Elopement wedding perfect.
Arrival at Pauntley Court
Your Elopement at Pauntley Court begins with a warm welcome as you arrive, greeted by the beauty of the country house with its 20 acres of private grounds, perfect for an Eloping couple.
You and your betrothed can arrive from 9 am on the day of your wedding and enjoy the morning to get ready, in total privacy, in the most fabulously luxurious and charming wing of the house, Elinor Fettiplace. An extra bedroom in the main house can be used if you wish to get ready separately from your loved one. Meanwhile, our trusted wedding organisers will be setting up and ensuring that everything will run smoothly.

The Ceremony
There are many options for where the ceremony can take place, each one is truly unique and enchanting. Choose from a civil ceremony in the elegant and serene Ballroom or the cosy and richly coloured Panelled Room. For the summer months, you can choose one of the 6 licensed outdoor spaces in the magical gardens. We can even cater for a more traditional church ceremony, in the beautiful Norman church, a stone's throw away!
The Rest of Your Day
From the Main Hall, with its breathtaking hand-painted ceiling, to the Panelled room with its huge open fire, the clipped hedges and manicured lawns and the boat house on the lake, there are incredible and very magical places for your wedding photographs and you and your guests to wander.
When the festivities are in full swing there is the option to get a little competitive with a game of croquet or petanque.
Get ready for your first dance under the Tentickle stretch tent or in the Ballroom, both exceptional locations for you to enjoy the company of your new spouse and your closest family and friends. When the day is done you can retreat to your private and romantic wing of the main house, Elinor Fettiplace. There is also an option for 4 of your guests to stay the one night in the 16th century Dovecote.

Elopement Catering
The Pauntley Team have an amazing list of tried and tested caterers for you to choose from, all highly rated and trusted to add to your magical day. There are also options to have an intimate wedding breakfast, either in the elegant ballroom or under the hornbeam arches out amongst clipped yew and box hedging with breathtaking views across the Gloucestershire countryside.

It is possible to have a bespoke price if you want to add a few more guests on your wedding day or even an extra night’s stay. Alternatively, if you’re looking for more than 8 people then have a look at our other wedding options.
