Our 800-year-old Norman church, St John the Evangelist, seats up to 100 guests and offers a timeless backdrop of stained glass, carved stone and sweeping countryside views.

A Personal Welcome
Reverend Molly and the wardens warmly welcome couples from near and far, helping you feel part of the Pauntley community as you prepare for your special day.

Outside the Parish?
You can still marry here by attending monthly services in the run-up to your wedding — a meaningful way to a lasting connection with the church

Seamless Celebration
After your vows, wander back through the gardens for drinks before dining and dancing in the Ballroom or marquee.

Fun Fact

Mark and Melissa, the owners of Pauntley Court, married at this very church in October 1996, while all three of their children have also been christened here.

A celebrant ceremony is a relaxed and personal ceremony which is uniquely tailored to you and your partner. Your chosen celebrant will take time to get to know all about you both and create a ceremony that tells your story in a meaningful way.

There are no restrictions and no limitations on what you can or can’t include in your ceremony; you can choose any words, music or rituals that mean something to you.

The Ballroom has space for up to 32 guests for a ceremony, or alternatively the gardens, under the Tentickle Stretch tent, woodlands and lake offer the most tranquil and wildly romantic setting for an outdoor ceremony option. 

What could be more wonderful than having your ceremony surrounded by beautiful blooms, endless blue skies and a picturesque backdrop?
