From the Sunken Garden with its clipped yew and box hedges to the Italian inspired courtyard, or the leafy glade of the quince orchard to the lavender scented walled garden, you can make one of these unique garden rooms part of your very own love story to share with your nearest and dearest on your wedding day.

Elle and James chose to marry between the enchanting and embracing quince trees, overlooking the rolling Gloucestershire countryside.  Guests enjoyed gentle, romantic classical music from Capriccio Quartet while gazing out down to the Cornmill and lake and endless countryside beyond.

The Sunken Garden, with its ornamental pond and clipped yew, patterned box hedging  and Elizabethan oak trellis and four Medlar trees – gives a truly elegant and unique setting for the Elopement Wedding ceremony of up to 8 people.

For the slightly larger numbers of up to 40, why not decide to marry on the quintessentially English ceremony lawn, with the backdrop of the pinkish terracotta Elizabethan wing and the elegant arch and Greek statue, resting amongst the floral abundance of the large herbaceous border.

If the skies decide to change on your wedding day, your wonderful wedding coordinator will work with plan B and we can move you under the fantastic canopy of the stretch tent where views into the gardens and out through the hornbeam arches are still mesmorizing and truly beautiful.

However, should there be a downpour, the Pauntley Court’s indoor licensed spaces within the gorgeous main house are just as atmospheric and full of character.

The light-filled and elegant ballroom is the most sumptuous and grand yet intimate room for your civil ceremony, with its soft colours, glittering chandeliers and views out of the huge windows to the yew gardens.

We originally booked Pauntley Court for our wedding in October 2020 but plans had to be postponed due to COVID. Melissa was very supportive and understanding with moving our wedding date and it finally went ahead in September 2023.

We visited Pauntley Court several times during the planning stage and loved it more and more each time. There is such attention to detail both inside the house and around the gardens. It is such a magical place. We had an amazing wedding weekend.

We asked Rachel, the housekeeper to help us with breakfasts and clearing in the evenings which I am so glad we did. She went above and beyond to help us. We filled all of the accommodation with our guests and they all said it was a fantastic venue.

Our friends returned to Pauntley Court for Christmas 2023 and stayed in the Dovecote so we got to visit Pauntley again and it is just as special in the winter.
